WHAT WAS HIS REASON? 🤔
Stories making rounds on social media indicate Augustine Okrah has turned down a Black Stars call-up.

The Bechem United forward was given a call-up for the AFCON qualifiers against Madagascar and Central African Republic but was dropped later.
Okrah earned himself another call-up to the Black Stars ahead of a tournament scheduled to be held in Japan.

News making rounds indicate he has rejected the opportunity to represent his nation in the Japan tournament because he feels disrespected.
This is not true as Okrah is currently injured and decided not to turn up because he feels he can’t give his all.

He had this to say in an interview he had on Pkays Corner with Richmond Opoku Afriyie amid the ‘brouhaha’.
“Lord Zico told me [about the Black Stars callup for the Japan tournament], but the condition I was in [injured], I could not go and disgrace myself.”
“As a player, if you’re not fit and you don’t play well in the national team, they may not call you again.”
“I told Lord Zico to let the officials of the Black Stars be aware of my condition and that I cannot report to camp”
