NEIP STORMS ASHANTI REGION IN STYLE

The Ashanti Regional NEIP team on Thursday November 27th, 2025, hosted a high-level delegation from the National Entrepreneurship and Innovation Programme (NEIP) as the Deputy National CEO, Joan Selassie, embarked on a comprehensive working visit to inspect progress under the Adwumawura Programme and engage directly with beneficiaries.

The visit began at the office of the Ashanti Regional Minister, Dr. Frank Amoakohene, where the Deputy CEO paid a courtesy call. In a brief but productive discussion, the Minister reaffirmed the region’s commitment to supporting NEIP’s groundbreaking initiatives and ensuring that entrepreneurship remains a key driver of development in the Ashanti enclave.

From the Minister’s office, the team together with the Regional Minister proceeded to the Akenten Appiah-Menka University of Skills Training and Entrepreneurial Development (AAMUSTED), the primary site of the Adwumawura project in the region. The Vice-Chancellor, Pro Vice-Chancellor, the University Lawyer, and other top officials warmly received the delegation.

A short meeting was held to highlight the collaborative efforts between NEIP and the university in empowering Ghana’s next generation of entrepreneurs. The Deputy CEO commended the leadership of AAMUSTED for their support and expressed her satisfaction with the level of dedication toward the Programme. The Regional Minister also reiterated the region’s commitment towards the program.

The delegation then visited the Adwumawura Training Centre, where beneficiaries showcased their work through a vibrant exhibition of products and innovations. Dr. Frank Amoakohene and Mrs. Selassie interacted with the trainees, encouraging them to take full advantage of the programme and reaffirming NEIP’s commitment to equipping young people with relevant employable and entrepreneurial skills.

The next stop was DAPNAB, where the Deputy CEO once again took time to speak with participants undergoing training. She encouraged them to remain committed to the process and stressed the importance of skill development in enhancing job creation and reducing unemployment, especially among the youth. She ended by addressing the concerns of the beneficiaries and assuring them of the transparency of the program.

The working tour continued at Women’s Haven, another key partner under NEIP. Here too, Mrs. Selassie interacted with women trainees, listened to their experiences, and assured them of NEIP’s unwavering support. The Deputy CEO’s visit ended at the newly renovated NEIP Ashanti Regional Office, where she inspected the facility and assessed its readiness to host full operations. Razak Majeed is an exciting Defensive Midfielder who plies his trade with Kanyiti FC, a Sawla based Second Division side. The 2022/2023 season has been his best yet. He’s helped KFC qualify to the Sub-Middle League.

The 6.2 ft. tall hard-tackling midfielder has played every single minute of the 12 games Kanyiti FC has played so far this season.

Majeed controls the flow of KFC’s game by connecting the defense and attack very well. His game reading and anticipation is one that has everyone admiring the tall midfielder.

Majeed’s strongest weapon is his aggressiveness, endurance, stamina and ball winning spirit. These help him intercept balls and win tackles on a regular basis, taking a lot of work off the shoulders of the defense.

Majeed combines technique and strength so well, and that has given him the balance a very good midfielder needs to be able to control the tempo of a game.

Majeed is definitely one for the future.

“It Was a Very Fruitful Visit”

Sawla Kanyiti FC On Tuesday 18th October 2022, paid a courtesy call on the Northern Regional Football Association Chairman, Alahji Abu Hassan Rhyzo, at his residence in Tamale.

This was after engaging in a soccer scouting tournament at the Aliu Mahama Sports Stadium in Tamale where they beat Kalpohini All Stars by two goals to one(2-1) and securing another 2-0 victory in a friendly against Tamale Bagabaga F/C at the Batco Field.

The Team was led by their Technical and Administrative. Manager, Mr. Alhassan AbdulRaman Nyariba and Coach Alhassan Mohammed Iddi (Gomua). After the two games, the team visited the Northern Regional Football Association Chairman, Mr. Rhyzo, at his residence where he gave some words of motivation to the players and a donation.

Having a had a great season last season, Sani was always going make a big move. You could see this move coming as he was always exceptional playing in last season’s Division 1 League for Bolga All Stars FC in Zone 3.

The tall Defensive Midfielder played for Kanyiti FC in the 2018/2019 season, he then moved to Mighty Royals for the 2019/2020 season. He played the 2020/2021 season for Nsoatreman FC and then moved to Bolga All Stars FC for the 2021/2022 season.

Sani signed for Aduana Stars FC on a 3 year contract. The Dormaa based side won his signature after battling out competition from other GPL clubs.

Sani with Osagyefo Agyemang Badu I, king of Dormaa Ahenkro and the owner of Aduana Stars.

This is refreshing for the people of Bole and Savannah Region.

THERE IS A STORM COMING. WATCH OUT FOR ABUBAKAR 💯🔥

Abdul Matin Abubakar started his dream to become a professional footballer at Nhyi Royals Academy where he played for a while and had most of his basic knowledge of the goalkeeping department.

At just age 14, Abubakar can boost of an incredible ability to keep a cool head under various forms of pressure during every game. This is his biggest asset.

He is good with both feet, commands the back line with a lot of confidence and has amazing reflexes. His sweeper abilities are on point.

He currently plays for Attram De VIisser Soccer Academy. Abubakar choose football because it has been his “passion since infancy”. He seeks to become a professional footballer so he can help push his family to a “better place” .

Abubakar looks up to Oblak of Atlético Madrid and hope to reach that height.

GOALKEEPER OF THE YEAR BAGGED 💯

After an incredible season which saw Iddrisu keep 18 cleansheets in 31 appearances in the 2021/2022 Ghana Premier League, the shot stopper has been given the ultimate award of the best goalkeeper of the year.

Iddrisu conceded only 18 goals throughout the season and had over 70% pass accuracy.

He reached the finals of the MTN FA Cup as well.

Brilliant, Absolutely Brilliant. From STK to Bechem to Top Class Performances.

Iddrisu Abdulai of Bechem United FC has received a lot of praise for his performance against Kumasi Asante SC. The GPL(Ghana Premier League) game took place at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium yesterday.

Even though Bechem United lost by 2 goals to 0, Iddrisu had a standout performance. He was solid with his ball distribution and reflexes. His sweeper duty was on point and he commanded the back line pretty well.
